Tasting Notes: Balvenie Caribbean Cask
The Balvenie make their own rum to flavour their rum cask and create this masterpiece of a dram. Now that’s dedication! The Balvennie Carribean Cask is a perfectly balanced 14 year old whisky and packed with complexity. A great dram for those ready to learn more about how casks change the flavour of whisky.
Aroma: Pronounced aroma of gorgeous tropical fruits. Sweet ripe banana and overpowering pineapple notes on the nose.
Palate: There is a rich palate, spicy nutmeg balanced with tropical fruits mango and pineapple. Delicious sweet nougat, brown sugar and raisins.
Finish: Medium long spicy black pepper finish. Walnut and dried fruit notes in there too!
